Scenic boosts programme with South American tours

Scenic Tours has introduced a range of escorted tours in South America, featuring “must-see highlights and little-known gems” for 2019-20.
The operator previously offered tours to South America only as
an add-on to cruises on board Scenic Eclipse. Prices start at £7,645 for the
19-day Icons of South America tour, departing October 14. The itinerary starts in Lima and visits Machu Picchu, Cuzco, Iguazu Falls, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. There will be further departures
in 2020. Other itineraries include the
22-day Icons of South America & Amazon Cruise (from £9,495), 26-day Icons of South America & Patagonia (from £11,545) and 29-day Incas, Amazon & Wilderness (from £13,595). Small-group tours include “once-in-a-lifetime” Scenic Enrich experiences, such as dining at a

ARGENTINA: Scenic’s Icons of South America tour takes in three countries
Tipto targets agents in southwest with June roadshows
The Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation (Tipto) has added roadshows at Exeter Racecourse (June 4) and Swindon’s County Ground (June 5). Tipto is also staging roadshows
in Derby (April 30), Cardiff (May 8), a Travel House solus event in Swansea (May 9), an Althams Travel solus event in Huddersfield (May 14) and Stirling (May 22). At each event, agents can meet
up to 12 Tipto supplier members. As well as dinner, agents will have the chance to win a £500 holiday voucher and places on fam trips. A raffle will be held in support of charity Reuben’s Retreat. Agents can also register for the Supershows at West Midlands Safari Park (May 1) and Elland Road Stadium, Leeds (May 15). These feature an exhibition zone
with all 25 Tipto suppliers, as well as dinner, entertainment and the
