Durham Tees Valley gains 2020 Majorca service with JetsGo

Te first air link to Spain from Durham Tees Valley airport for seven years will start next summer. JetsGo Holidays will


operate a weekly service to Palma, Majorca, for 10 weeks starting from July 19, 2020. It has created package holidays


starting from £349. Te flights can also be sold as


seat-only via partner operators including Classic Collection. Te flights will be operated by a


189-seat Boeing 737-800. Stobart Aviation took over the operation of Durham Tees Valley in March, aſter it was brought back into public ownership in a £40 million deal in January. Balkan Holidays began a charter


from the airport to Bulgaria in May and has confirmed it will run for a second season in summer 2020.

Wizz claims Moldova first from the north


Wizz Air will launch twice-weekly flights from Doncaster Sheffield to Chisinau on December 20. The airline claims the route is the first to Moldova from the north of England. Last week it began its eighth route from Liverpool John Lennon airport with a three-times-a-week service to the Bulgarian resort of Varna. wizzair.com


Jet2.com has added more than 6,000 seats to the Canary Islands from East Midlands airport to meet rising demand for winter-sun and early-season holidays. There will be additional weekly Friday services to Gran Canaria (February 14-April 17) and an extra Tuesday service to Tenerife (February 11-March 24). jet2.com
