Inghams, which celebrates its 85th anniversary this year, is to offer a monthly award for the top high street agents across its summer and ski programmes. The ‘Diamond for Winter’ and ‘Sapphire for Summer’ awards will go to the agents who make the most bookings each month.

Shearings taps in to The Lion King with Africa marketing tools
Shearings Holidays is urging agents to take advantage of ‘Lion King fever’ following the release of Disney’s remake of the classic film. Te operator has added

Travel 2 adds tours and hotels in Far East but axes Myanmar

Travel 2 has introduced seven itineraries and four hotels in its latest Far East brochure, which offers departures in 2019 and 2020. Te brochure now features 10 destinations:
Tailand, Malaysia, Bali, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China and Bhutan. Myanmar has been dropped. Cambodia remains the strongest-performing
over the past 12 months, with revenue up by 458%, compared with passenger numbers up by 210%. Japan is also seeing heightened demand ahead of its
hosting of the Rugby World Cup this autumn and the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. In response, Travel 2 has a new seven-day
destination, with year-on-year sales revenue rising by 138%. Tis has prompted Travel 2 to add two holidays: an eight-day Boutique Asia – Cambodia Experience and a 15-day Cambodia & Vietnam Family Experience.
