It was an event that had everything and one marked by sustainability, high-class attendance and a truly international appeal. Here, organisers, visitors and exhibitors give their views

They came for the Atmysphere – and that’s exactly what they got. All 35,000 of them, nearly three quarters of whom came from abroad. There to welcome them were 1,400 exhibitors from more than 60 countries.
The man in charge, Dr Andreas Gruchow, Deutsche Messe’s Managing Board member summed it up this way: “Domotex is and remains our most international tradeshow,” he said, adding that: “We are delighted that the event attracts attendees from around the globe, who come for 2.3 days on average – 60 per cent of them from Europe, 24 per cent from Asia and 11 per cent from the Americas, with the remainder from Africa and Australia.
