Sensors and monitoring instruments for measuring pressure, temperature and gas density by Trafag UK now include the CMP 8271. It extends the range of the CMP 8270 CANopen pressure transmitter and is attractive for price- sensitive customers with high quantities in mobile hydraulics and similar applications, says the company.


It is based on the design of the industrial pressure transmitter NAT 8252 and pressure transmitter NAH 8254 and offers full CANopen functionality. It has been developed and tested according to CiA standards DS-301 and DS-404. The company’s pressure transmitters are based on decades of experience and designed for the most demanding applications and harsh environments. The company claims its thin-film- on-steel technology and ASICs developed in-house offer high accuracy and long-term stability even in the dusty heat of deserts, to the icy cold of sub-arctic forests. Tailor-made solutions can be developed for OEM- clients, and the company has sales and service networks in over 40 countries.

Fastening and riveting ranges speed up assembly


One of the highlights at the Zygology stand at this year’s show is the new Z-AR, automatic handheld riveting system. It can accommodate most standard rivet types between 3.0 and 5.0mm diameter, made of aluminium, copper, steel and A2 stainless steel and its flexible umbilical design allows 360° riveting in any direction. The company is also showcasing the latest fasteners and tooling from POP Avdel and Qonnect, including the battery-powered


rivet and rivet nut tools. Visitors can also see new access products from Southco, including the rotary and electronic latch systems, claimed to be revolutionising the way designers think about enclosure design. There will also be the latest PEM fastener ranges, including extensions to the SMTSO surface mount range and new parts to speed up assembly.
