Laser marking station increases in size
In response to customer requests for a larger workspace, SIC Marking introduces the XXL-Box with working dimensions of up to 520mm high. It joins the compact L-Box and XL-Box marking stations and is available in three basic sizes at a very competitive price, says the company. It is modular, with three standard models (800, 1200 and 1600mm wide) and numerous accessories. It can adapt to customer requirements. In addition to the large working volume, the XXL-Box also enables the company’s project manager to offer tailor-made solutions for more complex, large-volume marking applications. The product’s accessories include
automatic three-dimensional axis, automatic loading system, loading drawer or turntable. Applications include manufacturing large parts or sub-assemblies such as shafts, valve or pump bodies, crankcase, exhaust components but also bodywork sub- assemblies in the automotive, aeronautics, industrial vehicles, hydraulics, oil and gas sectors. A recent project for the
French company was to mark a Datamatrix code on gearbox prototypes for a major German automotive supplier. An XXL- Box with a five-axis laser achieved a marking window of 900 x 500 x 500mm.

Two of the latest power supply lines from TDK-Lambda UK will be highlighted at this year’s show.
The medical 3.0 x 5.0-inch CUS400M was developed by the company’s UK engineering team. It provides multiple methods for product cooling and is capable of delivering 400W with forced air or 250W when convection cooled, with up to 400W peak power for 30 minutes. It is therefore suitable for applications
with occasional peak demands including motor driven medical equipment, like hospital beds. There are multiple mechanical configurations - open frame, metal baseplate, U channel and enclosed models with or without a top fan. The combination of either forced air, heat conduction in to the system chassis or convection cooling provides flexibility for thermal management. The constantly expanding
Genesys+ series of programmable power supplies will also be displayed. Half-rack 1U high models can provide 1.0 to 1.5kW, the full rack 1U models 1.0 to 5kW, 2U high 10kW and the 3U 15kW, with output voltages and currents of up to 0 to 10V/1,500A or 0 to 600V/25.5A. Patented auto- configuring software enables paralleling for higher power. The series can operate in constant voltage, constant
current and constant power modes. Control of voltage and current slew rate, arbitrary waveform generation and storage, internal resistance simulation and display brightness control are standard features. Multiple remote programming methods are available including LAN, USB, RS232 / RS485 and isolated analogue interfaces, as standard. Interface options include IEEE488, Modbus-TCP and EtherCAT. Waterproof connector range makes a splash
Interconnection specialist, Selwyn Electronics has a wide range of waterproof connectors that can be used in many applications. The waterproof range is
predominantly circular, but the range extends to USB, RJ45, HDMI, D type and input/output connectors.
