Who was Ötzi the Iceman? – An Archaeological Investigation
In 1991, two mountain walkers discovered the frozen body of a man in the Ötztal Alps on the border between Austria and Italy. The body was found at a height of over 3,000 metres in a melting glacier. Since then, his body, his clothes and weapons have been investigated by x-rays, CT
scans, high definition cameras and laboratory analysis. Here are some of the findings. What do they tell you about the life and death of Ötzi
the Iceman, who lived about 5,300 years ago? They will also tell you about some of the work of the archaeologist.
