ALF’S GREAT FOOD FESTIVAL QUIZ : CAFÉ ALF RESCO : 19.00 – 22.30: Alf’s great food festival quiz is always hotly contested and fiercely fought. It’s become quite the festival institution. Get a group together and test your foodie knowledge! Teams of 6 are required to take part, tickets are £25 per person to include a Salcombe G&T on arrival and one of Alf’s famous rustic suppers. CHILDRENS’ TEA PARTY : FLAVEL CHURCH, FLAVEL PLACE : 16.30 : Pop into the Flavel Church to sample a selection of delicious food and drink from some of our lovely local suppliers and restaurants. Open to all young people who may bring a responsible adult!

DINING AT THE SEAHORSE: Mitch Tonks’ Seahorse restaurant on the Embankment will be running guest chef events from award-winning national chefs all through the weekend. Names in the past have included Mark Hix, Henry Harris and Nieves Barragan-Mohacho. Details of the events can be found at

13.00-14.00: CHEESE TASTING IN THE COMMUNITY CAFÉ, MARKET SQUARE: Shane Holand of Slowfood UK, who is also a wonderful cheese expert will walk you through a selection of wonderful cheeses, supplied by Heritage Cheese, talking about the types of milk used, production techniques, and variety of tastes.
