he popular annual Totnes & District Show returns to Great Court Farm, Berry


Pomeroy on Sunday 31 July 2022. We cannot wait to welcome you back to celebrate being part of our community. Gates open at 9am for a packed fun filled day! There is always something new to enjoy at the Totnes & District Show, come join us and you’ll be spoilt for choice! The show brings town


and country together, with something for everyone of all ages. The perfect family day out boasts a wide variety of cattle, sheep, horses, rabbits, homecraft, baking, handicraft & horticultural classes. Enjoy browsing for that extra special gift in the Craft Marquee, alongside shopping at the Lifestyle Pavilion and trade stands. Do not miss the Food Village, where you can sample the finest and best local produce available, while watching talented chefs cook up a storm in the superb demo kitchen, all enthusiastic about local ingredients that our South Devon larder offers. A wonderful spectacle will be


the fiercely fought lamb shearing competitions. Shearers compete in quick paced and highly skilled


shearing competitions. Competitors flock from far and near. It’s fast and furious, marvel at the action! At the other end of this production, Totnes Spinners and the South Hams Group of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers will be spinning waste wool and knitting into squares to make a blanket. They’re raising funds for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, by selling raffle tickets to win the blanket. Visit them on the day to have a go at spinning using a drop spindle and see spinning wheels in


action! Other


attractions include


rural skills, hawks, owls, hilarious terrier racing (open to all breeds) vintage cars & agricultural machinery, demonstrations by the South Hams Motor Club, a Music Stage, family dog show, dog agility and pets’ corner to name a few. Watch the Grand Parade of livestock and demonstrations by Two-Bridges Flyball Club. The talented Dartmoor Hill Pony Display team will entertain. Come and meet


these wonderful ponies, alongside some magnificent gentle giant shire horses. Main ring attractions and entertainments run all day. There will be numerous catering outlets to suit all appetites, plus a public bar offering the finest selection. Check www.totnesshow.com and social media platforms for up-to- date information. Buy discounted tickets in advance. E-Tickets are available to purchase online, you can either print off your ticket or simply show on your phone; both are scanned through the fast pass entry lanes. It’s cheaper to purchase your tickets in advance, guaranteeing a hassle-free entry. There’s free parking adjacent to the showground or use the free park and ride operating throughout the day.
