this is what progress looks like group II base oils

Non-conformance from 28% to zero

Deojay, a dynamic independent lubricant company in Durban, South Africa, struggled with losses. Non-conformance averaged 28% due to the high variance in quality of imported Group I base oils.

The managing director of Deojay, Jackie Le Roux, sought advice from Umongo, his additives distributor, on options for

reducing blending costs. Aware that Jackie was extremely quality conscious, Umongo's technical director recommended that Deojay switch to Chevron Group II across the board explaining, “Working with Chevron’s high quality base oils you will consistently get products on spec first time, and, you can differentiate your products in the market, based on the improved performance. The technical teams at Umongo and Chevron will help you."

The result has been zero non-conformance, a 19% growth in sales, and a hydraulic oil recognized as the cleanest in Sub-Saharan Africa!
