We manufacture over 600 products in the UK, with most of our key grades dispatched by same or next day service. A network of experienced Technical Sales and Fluidcare Service Technicians operates throughout the UK supported by our technical service laboratories. Expert help or advice is always close at hand for problem solving or correct fluids selection and use. We also supply a range of equipment including mixers, recycling systems and air filtration, plus a range of consultancy services to help customers stay ahead of environmental and HSE guidance on use of fluids.
Our Fluid Management or FLUIDCARETM service programmes include fixed price packages of fluids, equipment, and manpower services. Every Fluidcare programme is tailored to the exact needs of the customer and is financed by savings in product usage, waste and maintenance costs. Fluidcare programmes range from regular visits by Field Service Technicians to multi-skilled teams based permanently on site. We are UK market leaders in Fluid Management with 50 permanently manned sites. We presently employ 133 technician’s working full-time on our customers’ premises providing all types of fluid management services.
Story of Houghto-Trend
Responding to the changing demands of HSE compliance and to meet the increasing needs of our customers, Houghton developed and designed a web based reporting system for managing metalworking fluids called Houghto-Trend. This state of the art software program was developed in house to support our Fluidcare and service operations. The system is totally auditable and allows users to quickly identify both performance and cost trends for any given system or point of application. Available via any web-enabled device such as a computer, mobile phone or laptop, all that customers need to access Houghto-Trend is an internet connection.
