Shortlist revealed for kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2020

THE FINALISTS for the biggest and longest running awards in the kitchen and bathroom industry have been unveiled. The kbbreview Retail & Design

Awards 2020 ceremony will be held on Monday, March 2 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole alongside the kbb 2020 exhibition at the NEC. The shortlist for the 2020 awards includes many familiar names still at the top of their game as well as plenty of newcomers looking to take their place among the industry’s top talent. Stalwarts include Kitchens by JS Geddes and Kitchens International in Scotland, as well as Soaks Bathrooms in Belfast and TileStyle in Dublin. Stephen Graver, who has been a winner in these awards as a designer, now features in Kitchen Showroom of the Year and last year’s winner BathroomsByDesign appears again in Bathroom Showroom of the Year. There are also new categories including New Kitchen Retailer of the Year which features, among others Stone & Chrome. They’re also a fi nalist in the Bathroom Showroom of the Year but they branched out into kitchens

West Wickham, Kent – a former Bathstore franchisee who has managed to turn the collapse of that company into a new independent business. In the design categories, there are of new names as

plenty well as

previous winners and fi nalists. Diane Berry, from her eponymous kitchen business in Manchester is back, and Pippa Paton has chalked up two

nominations – one for kitchens and one for bathrooms.

The other double nominee is newcomer Amy Stoddart from DayTrue who is also shortlisted in both kitchens and bathrooms. “It’s always a momentous moment

when I do all the sums and the shortlist takes shape in front of me,” said kbbreview managing editor Andrew Davies. “The judges have done a great job as there’s some fantastic entries in

there. The next stage of judging begins in earnest now as we head towards the event in March where the winners are revealed.”

Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine launches These Three Rooms

THE TEAM behind Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine, kbbreview’s sister title, has launched a new consumer-facing website, A spin-off from Britain’s best-selling consumer kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design magazine, the innovative digital offering brings a brand new concept and offers homeowners taking on a renovation project up-to-the-minute expert advice, buying guides and real-home inspiration direct from the team who put together the magazine. Building on the growing success of the print title, the team led by editor Lindsay Blair, are on hand every day to share their extensive knowledge of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom design, plus share

their own experiences through a series of blogs. “These Three Rooms is an exciting new offering in

the kbb world, and one that I am very proud to launch with my amazing team,” says Blair, who became editor of the magazine in April 2018.
