A practical solution for improving drinking water quality


AQUATOOLS has introduced the new FILT&SWAP inline filter, developed for water systems where effective particulate filtration and water quality management are essential. The company says: “The

FILT&SWAP 0.2-micron particle filter incorporates a microfiltration membrane to retain suspended particles. An integrated active charcoal cartridge also improves the aesthetic quality of drinking water through the reduction of


chlorine, taste, and odour. “The filter housing is manufactured


from impact-resistant polypropylene, designed to withstand high-use environments and routine cleaning. The ABS filter cartridge operates at temperatures between 4°C and 38°C. The cartridge can be exchanged without replacing the housing. This reduces maintenance time, minimises material waste,


and lowers the overall servicing cost. “The filtration membrane has a surface


area of 0.5 m² and provides a treatment capacity of up to 18,000 litres, with a recommended replacement interval of up to six months. The flow rate is 9 L/min with an integrated flow restrictor, increasing to 14 L/min without the restrictor at an operating pressure of 3 bar. The filter will operate under pressures up to 10 bar. “The FILT&SWAP filters have been engineered for durability under demanding operating conditions. The membrane is resistant to active chlorine concentrations <100 ppm and can withstand thermal shocks of up to 70°C for up to 30 minutes. “For healthcare estates, where


water systems must balance reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency, FILT&SWAP inline filtration technology offers a practical solution for improving drinking water quality while supporting planned maintenance programmes and reducing lifecycle costs.”
