ClearHance C conditioning polymer from Ashland is a new, nature-derived, patent-pending chemistry that provides superior clarity and conditioning functionality to enhance clear and transparent shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and liquid soaps. Based on cassia seeds, this cationic technology provides excellent conditioning and deposition benefits. As clear rinse-off products denote purity and mildness and continue to grow in popularity, consumers expect them to provide the same level of conditioning as one finds in opaque, pearlescent systems. “Until now, competitive conditioning polymers had to balance between conditioning

EDITOR’S COMMENT The age of ‘disruption’
The theme for the upcoming Suppliers’ Day is ‘Revolutionary Disruptors’. Speaking to incoming NYSCC Chair, Gino Macalino, late last year, he was excited about this theme as it captures the essence of innovation in this industry. In such a competitive marketplace, it sometimes needs a different, more disruptive approach to really stand out and become successful. One of the key ways that we are likely to see a diruptive revolution in the coming years appears to be through the use of digital technology. Devices that measure skin health and even help create formulations are becoming more powerful and widespread. It will be fascinating to see how these develop in the near future. We look forward to the show to discover what innovations are emerging from the US in line with the theme, while also exploring the wealth of innovations among the stands at Suppliers’ Day. In this issue you will find a comprehensive preview from exhibitors at the show and the latest on Personal Care’s ‘World of Chemistry’ presentations which will take place on the first morning of the show.

sustainable growth going forward, providing the all- important US market with full access to Natura-Tec’s natural materials and creative research. Natura-Tec’s aim is the development, manufacturing and marketing of natural and
marine derived specialty ingredients for modern cosmetic formulations, which will be complemented by Deveraux’s approach and customer focus providing an ideal vehicle for Natura-Tec’s product range.
