Gaming industry For Ukraine campagin exceeds £250,000
Ukraine
Te gambling industry’s charity appeal to raise funds for Ukrainians displaced by the Russian military action reached its target of £250,000 within two weeks. As so many generous individual and corporate donors from across the gaming sector have stepped up to support the campaign, organisers decided to keep the GoFundMe campaign running until April, to give even more people the chance to support the Gaming Industry for Ukraine initiative.
Te campaign is providing funding to Choose Love, as the registered charity has the ability and infrastructure to
side and a growing number of commercial organisations, providers of Responsible Gambling technology, tools and solutions, on the other hand – to really showcase the growing investment in this area in terms of technology and product development. We are also making the CPZ more attractive to our visitors who can come to find specific solutions to their Responsible Gambling approaches.”
She added: “I think the biggest testimony to the growing investment has been our fund-raising activities on behalf of the charities featured. We are fund-raising for the third time through the CPZ and have opened the fund to a broader spectrum of companies this year.
“In 2019 we raised £35,000 rising to £65,000 at the last edition of ICE in 2020 and I’m hoping that it will be possible to surpass that total. We’ve had bet365, Kindred, GVC, Videoslots, Sky Betting and Gaming and IMG Arena pledge their £6,000 contribution and anticipate more sponsors to join the effort.
“Looking ahead I would like to see the Consumer Protection Zone continue to grow with more and more solutions being showcased, so it really demonstrates that safer gambling is at the heart of our industry.”

But organisers would like to stress how appreciative they are of all the many individuals who have generously donated, and the four and five figure sums given entirely anonymously.
Te campaign will continue to provide donors with Choose Love's updates through LinkedIn and other social channels.
