Spain - IGT Europe hits the Spanish streets IGT Europe Gaming B.V. has launched in the Spanish Amusement with Prize (AWP) salones subsector with solutions specifically adapted for the market through an exclusive distribution agreement with Orenes Grupo, the Spanish salones operations and gaming machine distributor.
IGT’s debut title for the sector is its Magic Fortune Link multi-level progressive, known in Spain as a linked game. The salones subsector in Spain represents a total footprint of approximately 3,000 gaming and bingo halls. “IGT is well-positioned to serve salones customers in Spain by supplying our market-attuned games through our exclusive distributor, Orenes Grupo,” said Mark MacCombie, IGT Senior Vice President — EMEA Gaming. “The outstanding results from our first offering, Magic Fortune Link, marks a very encouraging start.

UK - Clarion launch £100,000 esports event Clarion Gaming will be using the platform provided by ICE London to launch details of its £100,000 prize pool stand-alone esports tournaments scheduled for September 2022 in Stockholm. The in-person Dota 2 tournaments have been tailored towards the betting community from the ground-up.
France - New website blocking powers French gaming regulator L’Autorité Nationale des Jeux has been given new powers with a law replacing the current legal procedure for blocking illegal gambling sites with an administrative blocking procedure. The President of the National Gaming Authority can now, under the supervision of the administrative judge, order Internet service providers to block access to sites that offer an illegal offer of gambling and sites that advertise it. Such a procedure, which already exists in many countries of the European Union, will enable ANJ to prevent, more quickly and efficiently, access to sites that present very high risks in terms of addiction, financial probity and money laundering.
This legislative development is a major step forward in the fight against the illegal supply of gambling in France, which the ANJ has set as a priority project for 2022. It supports the new cooperation strategy that it has been developing for a few months with all digital players (search engines, social networks, content exchange platforms, payment solution providers) in order to make them accountable and stem the proliferation of illegal offers.
