Videoslots: More of everything
Videoslots recently promoted Henrik Enesund to the position of Head of Casino just over five years since he began work in Malta for the brand as a customer service agent. Replacing the out-going Timo Thronicke in leading the casino operation, Henrik talks to G3 about the new role and how Videoslots is looking to evolve its offering with more game types.
What does your new role entail?
Taking care of business, to coin a phrase! My role involves making sure that we maintain and expand our position as the biggest online casino in the world, fundamentally.
To do that we need to ensure that we keep integrating high quality content from our 180 partner studios and provide our players with a great customer service. I want to attract more players too.
We recently opened our online doors in Italy and Spain and are integrating more and more studios and getting more content live in both countries. Tey present exciting opportunities for us.
Are there specific areas of Videoslots’ casino offering you’d like to see perform better or expanded?
I don’t think there are any areas that need to perform better as such, but I think we are always looking to evolve our offering. We are integrating more crash-style games, for instance, as they grow in popularity.
Of course, we’re not only about slots either. We have had a big push on live dealer in recent times, as more players enjoy that experience. We now have content from Playtech, Evolution, Pragmatic Play and Authentic Gaming, and will have Ezugi on board very soon.
From a products perspective, what are your priorities going forwards to maximise reach in both new markets and changing regulatory environments?
I’m keen to make sure we provide the best player experience, as well as the largest variety of content from which they can choose.

from day one, but we are adding new features to that all the time. Tere is some more big news on the way on that front soon.
We are on top of the regulatory environments in all of the markets we operate in; no operator can afford not to be these days. But we are sensitive to changing times too and will always try to ensure we offer the safest and most enjoyable casino offering online.
One third of Videoslots’ promotions are internal. Is this hiring ethos a core part of your affinity with the company?
I guess it probably is – it’s certainly my own story in a nutshell. We are very keen to hire
smart people and make sure they progress through the ranks at Videoslots. Despite the pandemic, we have been successful in doing that. We have an excellent team spirit here and it is a great place to work.
It is brilliant to be part of that upward trajectory, not only as an employee, but now as a member of the management team. At the end of the day, we all want to feel we are making a contribution and that that contribution is being recognised and rewarded. I think Videoslots excels in this regard.
Earlier this year, Videoslots went live with its 7,000th game. What legacy does Timo leave behind?
I certainly have big shoes to fill. It has been great working with Timo, and I have learnt a lot from him in a short space of time. He has been with us for seven years and rose through the ranks like me.
Our 7,000th slot was a landmark achievement during his time, but I would like to push on even further and get to 8,000 as soon as we can. Timo has helped develop our reputation for being the biggest and best and I want to take that on even further and ensure that more players enjoy our games and famous tournaments in a safe and fun environment.
