SHOW PREVIEW | FAKUMA 2017

Below: Koch-Technik has extended its KKT range of mobile pellet dryers

Göttfert will present the latest version of its MI series melt index testing machines. The MI40 is designed with ease of operation in mind, accord- ing to the company, and includes features such as a repositionable control panel, optional semi-auto- matic cleaning unit, and force-controlled pre-load and ejection function. In common with other MI series machines, it also includes an easily-accessi- ble testing chamber and supports connection to the company’s miAPP data collection system. www.goettfert.com

Koch-Technik’s latest innovations include a new larger version of its KKT series of mobile pellet dryers and an updated KEM direct colouring unit. The KKT 100 mobile pellet dryer is designed for

effective drying of hygroscopic plastics. The new design incorporates the regeneration heating technology used on the company’s CKT dryers. It also allows improved access for servicing and maintenance. The 100 model features two drying circuits and produces up to 100m3

designed to accommodate process lengths of 24 to 48D and the processing unit can be easily extended or shortened for specific formulations. The machine also supports flexibility in feeding; blocks can be exchanged as necessary to allow add-on modules such as side feeders to be mounted on the left or right of the processing unit. A synchronous drive is used to maximise energy

efficiency, while torque measurement is installed as standard to allow users to optimise processing of new formulations. Product-specific settings can also be saved via a network link to the Siemens S7 PC 477 control system for simple archiving. The ZSE 35 iMAXX is the latest addition to the

Leistritz range of co-rotating twin screw extruders. MAXX models provide increased screw volume (OD/ID = 1.66), which results in high quality homogenisation performance and relatively low energy input. Models are available in screw sizes from 18 to 260mm diameter www.leistriz.com

of

dry air per hour with a dew point of -35°C. Control is via a new touch panel and a number of drying programs are offered as standard, including an energy efficient mode that adapts to the current pellet flow to reduce energy use by up to 40%. The latest KEM direct colouring

machines are equipped with a touch panel

control integrated into the case body. It includes a number of operating programs, all of which can be accessed and controlled via clearly structured menu. Memory has been expanded to 100 recipes. The KEM series colouring machines offer dosage rates from 0.5 to 200 kg/h. www.koch-technik.de

Right: The ZSE 35 iMAXX extruder from Leistritz has been designed for masterbatch production

Leistritz will be putting its ZSE 35 iMAXX twin screw extruder at the centre of its Fakuma display. The machine, introduced last year, is specifically designed for masterbatch production, offering users flexibility in operation and fast product changeovers. Ease of cleaning has been designed into the ZSE 35 iMAXX, according to Leistritz. The unit features a stainless steel cover that protects the processing unit and drive from contamination and the cooling/heat- ing device is fully integrated in the frame with just one central water connection required. The ZSE 35 iMAXX standard frame length is

Lindner-Recyclingtech will present its Micromat HP high performance shredder series at Fakuma, which are said to offer output improvements of up to 30% over the previous models. These latest units feature a redesigned rotor that improves knife efficiency and simplifies replacement when necessary. Cooling of the rotor has also been updated, the company says. The single shaft Micromat HP ujnits can be supplied with a 132 or 160kW motor capable of driving the rotor at a speed of 105 RPM. www.l-rt.com

Maag’s main feature at Fakuma will be its new new Pearlo underwater pelletiser, which is designed to produce spherical pellets for compounds and masterbatches at capacities up to 36,000 kg an hour. The company, which now brings together the engineering expertise of Maag Pump Systems, Automatik Plastics Machinery, Gala Industries and Reduction Engineering Systems, will also show a number of other recent group
