ColorLite will demonstrate its microscope spectro- photometer, which is designed to enable precise colour measurement of extremely small areas of less than 1mm. Built around optics from QIOPTIQ, the device consists of three main components: a spectrophotometer for analysis of the spectral properties of the surface; a microscope to focus the light from the measuring spot; and a video camera to display the position of the measurement area on the monitor. The modular design of Coperion K-Tron’s latest loss-in-weight Liquid Feeders allows various combinations of pumps and tanks to be integrated to optimise performance in specific applications. Features include the option of gear, membrane or other pumps (depending on the liquid), accurate SFT weighing technology, liquid tanks starting from 7.5 litres, and optional heating to maintain the process temperature and ATEX configurations. The company will also show its T35 twin screw loss-in-weight feeder, which is claimed to provide accurate feeding of free flowing to flooding powders as well as other difficult, poorly flowing bulk materials. It uses interlocking, co-rotating twin screws to form pockets to transport free flowing materials to the feeder discharge; the intermeshing screw flights act as a valve to control material flow in flooding materials.
