Nurel will show the latest additions to its polyam- ide polymer lines as well as introducing new grades of its Inzea bioplastics for film and sheet applications. New additions to the Promyde polyamide product line include the extension of the High Flow PA6 range to include mineral filled and flame retarded products, as well as new High Viscosity PA6 grades for extrusion blow moulding. Inzea resins are bio-based and compostable according to ASTM D6866. At Fakuma, the com- pany will present new Paper Like and transparent grades for use in barrier films. It will also introduce a new addition to its HT series for production of coffee capsules. �

OKA-Tec will show the latest additions to its range of high performance antioxidants and stabilisers. Okabest PAT is a long lifetime, low volatility heat stabiliser for use in PP in demanding automotive interior applications. Okabest CLX series products provide good process and long-term stabilisation of polymers such as PA, PPA, POM and a range of TPEs. Ofaflex is a line of long term polymeric foam stabilisers for PA aimed at applications requiring good resistance to fuels, oils, electrolytes and detergents. �

Velox will show a number of new additions to its principals’ product lines as well as introducing PrimeTec, its own brand for highly specialised solutions (the first product in the PrimeTec family is a high performance PEEK). Among the partner innovations, Pentac Poly-
mer’s Pentamid AHT1 and AHT2 resins are PPA grades that meet demands for operation at elevated temperatures. Fibre reinforced grades display good dimensional stability and are aimed at demanding applications and metal replacement in automotive. The Velox additive range has been extended
with Tolsa’s Adins Clay and Adins Fireproof modified magnesium silicate (sepiolite). These have a needle-like structure and can be used as synergists in most flame retardant systems. They are said to result in improved mechanical proper- ties while an enhanced crust formation reduces heat and smoke release. The company will also be able to provide details
of its own recently announced Vemab range of seven brominated and halogen-free FR master- batches. Vemab FR grades can be used in applica- tions such as extrusion of film, sheet, cable, blow and injection moulding of PE, PP, TPO, PA and PS. Völpker Spezialprodukte’s Waradur wax addi- tives will also feature. These multifunctional ingredi- ents provide flow/ mould release improvement and surface optimisation, as well as acting as dispersion aids. The latest Voelkper wax 4418 is an organic ester wax based on renewable plant waxes that is suited to use in thermoplastic polymers, including bio-based types. Velox will also present Asaclean PF, a new glass
fibre-free purging agent from Asahi Kasei of Japan. Pitched at processors running PPS, PEI, PEEK, PSU and other high temperature polymers, Asaclean PF is thermally stable and can be used safely between 280°C and 420°C. Applications include rapid colour and material changes, hot-runner purging, and machine machine shutdowns. �
