Solutions Manufacturing Builds Greater Control with Cetec ERP...
Continued from previous page
cy system stored several pieces of information within single fields, requiring the team to separate, clean, and reorganize the data before import. Solutions Manufacturing al-
so chose to eliminate its internal part-number structure and align inventory with manufacturer part numbers. That decision required physical verification of stock and exposed obsolete inventory that was no longer needed. The project had a dedicated
internal owner responsible for evaluating systems, coordinating implementation, and working with outside partners. Betsy Cunnane, strategic initiatives manager at Solutions Manufac- turing, emphasized the impor- tance of maintaining that re- sponsibility. “We worked closely with Cal-
cuQuote on the implementation, and they did a great job,” Cun- nane says. “But at the end of the day, you still need someone inter- nally who understands your busi- ness and can own the process.” The company prepared for
potential failure scenarios before going live, including the possibil- ity of pausing production if data did not reconcile. The launch ul- timately proceeded smoothly be- cause of the preparation com- pleted in advance.
Faster Access and Better Visibility
Following implementation,
employees gained faster access to inventory, part, shortage, and job information. Engineering teams can load, revise, and maintain structured BOMs with- out rebuilding them outside the system. Users no longer need to depend on a particular employee to generate reports or interpret exported data. “It’s pretty user-friendly, so it
wasn’t hard for most people to pick up,” Cunnane says. “Once they had access to the data, they could find what they needed with- out relying on someone else.” Reporting now takes place
directly within the system. The company can adjust queries around its own processes and has developed real-time views of production status and active work orders. Cetec ERP was also adapted
to support partial builds and split orders. Work orders can be revised as production advances, allowing job status to reflect cur- rent activity on the factory floor. Together, these changes
have reduced manual entry across quoting, inventory, and production; eliminated duplicate part numbers; improved BOM control; accelerated access to shortages and inventory levels;
Contact - VJ Electronix SUMMIT LT150
Next-generation components demand next-generation rework. The VJ Electronix Summit LT150 is purpose-built to handle today’s largest, most complex devices,
WHY IT MATTERS:
As components grow larger, denser, and more expensive, traditional rework systems simply fall short. The Summit LT150 addresses this challenge head-on, delivering the control and capacity required to protect product quality, improve yields, and reduce costly scrap and rework cycles, even on the most demanding assemblies.
KEY ADVANTAGES:
A proprietary 4.4 kW top heater with dual PID control delivers uniform heating from center to corner, maintaining consistent Time Above Liquidus and protecting component integrity.
A 1.5 kW spot heater balances top and bottom heating, reducing cycle time while safeguarding high-value components.
Supports 24 x 36 in. (610 x 915 mm) boards standard, with an optional 650 × 1200 mm upgrade and up to 11.2 kW bottom heating, making it ideal for AI, Communications, Aerospace, and advanced industrial designs.
100 mm top and bottom clearance allows safe rework between connectors, heat sinks, and tall components — eliminating the need for risky workaround processes.

and enabled real-time tracking of partial builds and active jobs.
Expanding from a Stronger Foundation
With the core implementa-
tion complete, Solutions Manu- facturing is extending its use of Cetec ERP across stockroom ac- tivity, inventory management, planning, purchasing, and pro- duction coordination. Because these processes draw from the
same structured dataset, the company can add reporting and production controls without in- troducing disconnected tools. The transition required ex-
tensive data cleanup, standard- ized part numbering, and align- ment across departments. In re- turn, Solutions Manufacturing gained a system designed to grow with the business rather than one that employees must continually work around.
“All things considered, it
went smoother than we expect- ed,” Cunnane concludes. “There were definitely challenges, but overall, it was a positive experi- ence. We would choose Cetec ERP again.” Contact: Cetec ERP, 1700
