EAST WINDSOR, NJ — TRUMPF is launch- ing its TruMatic 5000 manufacturing cell with the new SheetMaster to the North American market. Users of the new system will benefit from fully automated laser cut- ting, punching and forming capabilities. TRUMPF’s new combination machine is

equipped with a 6 kW fiber laser to maximize productivity. As well as saving energy, this laser does an impressively fast job of cutting sheet metal parts. The system comes with a descending die

that prevents parts from being scratched during the punching process. The TruMatic 5000 punching head also comes with a patented TRUMPF electric drive known as the Delta Drive, which uses around 30 per-

New Harness Builder 2025 for E3.series from Zuken

WESTFORD, MA — Zuken has unveiled the 2025 version of its Harness Builder for E3.series software. This release introduces powerful new features and enhancements designed to ele- vate the precision, flexibility, and efficiency of wiring harness design and manufacturing. Harness Builder 2025 trans-

forms the process of drawing a backbone or segment to a specific length making it even more effec- tive. Previously, when utilizing the formboard copilot feature, users could input the desired length of a segment and then quickly add points to the drawing. As users add points, the

copilot displays the added seg- ment length, the total length used, and the remaining distance to achieve the total length. With the 2025 release, the formboard copilot feature introduces a new dialog for entering precise point coordinates, angles, and lengths, substantially enhancing design precision and speed. The software can now auto-

matically place missing connec- tor table symbols. This improve- ment increases design efficiency and saves time by eliminating the manual steps of connector table placement. Collaborating with mechanical CAD platforms is also valuable. Users can broaden their design possibilities with the new support for PTC Onshape. The option to share E3.series connectivity data facil- itates

smoother transitions

between CAD platforms. As a result, users can utilize the web- based PTC Onshape to create

ment was made possible by the new SheetMaster technology, which uses grippers to handle parts in the manufacturing cell. The suction cups on the new SheetMaster’s grippers are monitored by sensors and can be activated individually. This makes gripper operation even more flexible, speeding up workpiece handling and saving valuable time, especially for smaller batches. The TruMatic 5000’s automation technol-

ogy also includes the ToolMaster, a tool chang- er with up to 90 different tool cartridges that can automatically switch between multiple
