Wurth Opens Prototype Laboratory


in Munich MUNICH, GERMANY — Wurth Electronics Midcom Inc., Ger- man Branch, with EU headquar- ters in Munich, has opened a lab- oratory for the production of transformer prototypes at the Hightech Innovation Center in Munich-Freiham. The company, which specializes in transform- ers for switch-mode power sup- plies and customized inductive components, is part of the Würth Elektronik eiSos Group. In Mu- nich, they produce custom mag- netics prototypes using first- class equipment and high-quali- ty materials. The main purpose of the


new capacities is to promote in- tensive and transparent collabo- ration with customers. In-house prototype development and pro- duction enables the design engi- neers to also accompany their process in its implementation. All products are tested individu- ally using advanced equipment and methods. The facility’s tech- nical equipment offers new op- portunities for R&D projects and patent development.
