However, Jeff Bezos’ statement that the selection of New York and Washington “will allow us [Amazon] to attract world-class talent that will help us continue inventing for years to come” also highlighted one of the region’s biggest challenges, which is attracting a substantial amount of talent to sustain the burgeoning innovation economy. This challenge, while monumental, is definitely surmountable.
