RECOGNIZING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE


Central State University recently honored students with grade-point averages of 3.2 and above during its Honors Day Convocation on April 2, 2019. Honors Day, an annual event, encourages continued academic excellence as it recognizes full-time students who have


achieved high scholastic standing.


Among the distinctions are the Class Scholar honors, awarded to the highest-ranking student in each class. The 2019 Top Scholars of Central State University are: Ms. Arame Diouf (top left), Senior Class Scholar; Ms. Nya McMullin (top right), Junior Class Scholar; Ms. Emily Archer (bottom left),


Sophomore Class Scholar; and Mr. Kentin Wallace (bottom right), Freshman Class Scholar.

Jonathan Carey Class of 2020


The title of Mr. CSU this year was bestowed on Jonathan Carey (pictured right), an International Business major. Carey, who serves as part of CSU’s Student Government Association, has already started his own company, Fitness Fanatics. Carey’s goal is to become an international representative for a Fortune 500 company. Good luck, Mr. CSU!
