PRODUCTS & SERVICES MAD MEN REIGN SUPREME
With designs such as Griff, Cracks, Jacob’s Ladder and the new Fahrenheit, Mad Men reigns supreme as Louis de Poortere’s best-selling rug collection.
Introduced earlier this year, Fahrenheit continues to build on the collection’s New York-inspired theme; in a design inspired by the swirls and marks left by ice skaters at the city’s famous Wollman Rink. Woven in an artful blend of high- gloss polyester and cotton chenille, the abstract design comes in five striking colourways, including one of the hottest colours of the moment, green.
Alan Russell, Sales Director at Louis de Poortere, said: “We’re seeing green come through strongly in interiors at the moment.
“It’s a shade beautifully captured in the Mad Men collection in Fahrenheit’s Central Park Green and Crack’s Dark Pine, with the rugs bringing a really fresh look.”
It’s the collection’s abstract designs and unexpected colours that are seeing Mad Men used to bring excitement to in-store roomsets and window displays.

MOORLAND GETS A MAKEOVER
Balta has breathed new life into its long-running and hugely popular Moorland Twist collection, with a brand-new look that brings the range’s marketing collateral bang up-to-date.
As one of the manufacturer’s most successful StainSafe carpets, Moorland Twist continues to be a popular choice in homes around the country and, with colours in on-trend grey, as well as neutral hues of cream, beige and brown, its 12-strong palette is certainly ready for today’s interiors.
Geert Vanden Bossche, Marketing Director at Balta, commented: “Moorland Twist is a classic StainSafe heather style that’s great value and has a colourbank that holds something for almost any setting. However, as a long-running collection, the image set by its presenter and swatch book was

Hatfields Home Furnishers, explained: “Hatfields Home Furnishers has built a reputation as a furniture store that not only offers quality products and service, but also one that keeps abreast of the latest trends in interiors. Each season, we update our roomsets to give customers ideas and inspiration for their home.
“Rugs play a major part in most of these schemes, and Louis De Poortere is often our go-to supplier. The brand’s eye-catching designs and colourways always deliver a fresh look to our sets. This summer, we’ve witnessed a trend
beginning to feel a little dated, and certainly not reflective of its position as one of our most popular collections with a long lifespan ahead of it.
“To make sure that the range appeals to a new generation of homeowners, we’ve given Moorland Twist a facelift, bringing a striking look for point-of-sale while leaving the collection’s heart untouched and ready to bring its great value and StainSafe performance.”
Inspired by the moorlands of Scotland, from which the collection draws its name, the new-look imagery is a powerful reminder of our connection with the outdoors. Reflecting Moorland Twist’s natural-looking heather effect, it’s certainly made to draw the attention and cement the style’s place at the centre of stores across the country.
Available with a coordinating stripe pattern (4m wide only), StainSafe Moorland Twist comes with a 10-year
towards the use of green in interiors, and this look is captured perfectly in Fahrenheit’s Central Park Green, a rug which has been used to great effect in- store over the past few months.”
Woven in Belgium on Louis de Poortere’s electronic jacquard looms, the Mad Men Collection is available in a range of standard sizes ranging from 80 x 150cm to 280 x 360cm. With an 85% cotton and 15% high gloss polyester blend, the rugs weigh-in at 1,500g/m2 and feature a natural anti-slip backing.
