FEATURE
Recent residential projects have included a complicated LVT herringbone design with inlay being swapped onto an existing IOBAC base within a lounge area in just one afternoon. The installer noted that the same job would have taken at least three times as long using traditional techniques.
Retailers are finding this superior design agility to be a fantastic feature for customer demonstrations. In-store displays can be rapidly changed to demonstrate the interchangeability of different flooring types, create intricate designs and rapidly show consumers how various flooring options might look within a particular room-set.
Easily Accessible
Retailers have a number of options when it comes to stocking IOBAC Magnetic Flooring. The good news is that leading LVT manufacturers, such as Karndean and Amtico, have been supplying magnetic versions of some of their most popular ranges for some time, and IOBAC has worked closely with these organisations to ensure they are approved for use with the metallised IOBAC base options.
If a magnetic version of a particular surface tile isn’t available, IOBAC MagTabs can be used to attach standard carpet tiles and +4mm vinyl products. Magnetic on one side and self-

adhesive on the other, these smart little tabs work by locking tiles tightly together to create the next generation in “floating floor” technology.
MagTabs are available in two versions – MT4 and MT5 – to be used depending on the IOBAC base option in place. MT4 MagTabs are ideal for use with IOBAC High Grab Resins and Roll Downs, whereas the slightly larger MT5 MagTabs can be used with IOBAC Express Cure Resins. Both MagTab versions are suitable if a metallic base, such as a raised metal access floor, is already in place. With 100 tabs per roll kiss cut onto a silicone release liner for a quick and easy peel, they are available to purchase from IOBAC as a stock item packaged either six or eight rolls to a box.
When you consider all of these advantages and benefits, the attraction of magnetic flooring technologies for homeowners is the ability to quickly and easily create stunning living spaces that offer the flexibility of being able to update a floor tile by tile, should they wish. This proves that, with magnetic flooring, flooring can be a flexible design element helping to transform the home – from the ground up!
