Expanding its array of contemporary and classic timber designs, Karndean Designflooring’s Van Gogh range welcomes a new mix of fresh, clean and neutral tones including French, distressed and refined oak hues as part of its latest update. The cool neutral colourways range from Blush Oak, with its gentle pink undertones and subtle flowery grains, to the warmer smoky shades of Misty Grey Oak.
Offering a traditional wood design in two on-trend colourways, Karndean’s French oaks – Blush and Greige Oak – have been cleverly designed to accommodate modern bright spaces as well as classic rustic decors. They both offer a neutral backdrop and allow home decorators to accessorise from the ground up.
Inspired by the original design of Distressed Oak, an existing Van Gogh plank, Light Distressed Oak offers more pronounced grains with greater knot and line details. This weathered style achieves an authentically rustic yet versatile finish for any modern home.
Finally, the updated collection delivers a touch of simplicity with three complementary and understated colourways, ranging from warm to cool. Misty Grey, Cool Grey and Natural Prime Oak will be perfect in spaces where home decorators are looking for a timeless interior that never goes out of fashion.
The large (48” x 7”) plank size is ideal for any room of the home and lends itself to small and large spaces alike. It can
be used in compact areas to make a room appear bigger or in larger areas on an angle for added visual interest.
There’s also the option to personalise with design strips and consider keyline or tramline border features to frame a room. Design strips can be introduced in between each plank to create a ship’s deck laying pattern or, alternatively, added around the entire plank for a grouted tile effect. They can also be placed between every other plank to achieve the illusion of a wider room.
