Hello and welcome to the September issue of Tomorrow’s Retail Floors.

As reluctant as I am to admit it, it looks like autumn has well and truly arrived and it’s time to break out the knitted jumpers and scarves once again. Call me boring but, although I love getting out and about in summer, I do get excited at this time of year to start hibernating and making my home as cosy as possible during the dark winter evenings. One interior avenue that I regularly explore for inspiration is the modern country style. Rustic wood, neutral tones and welcoming log fires are just some of the frequent features you will see on the Instagram accounts and Pinterest pages categorised under this trend. For this issue’s Editor’s Pick, we’ve compiled a few of our favourite farmhouse-inspired flooring looks to help your customers turn their home into the perfect country cottage, whatever type of house they live in.

Having been the editor of TRF for over three years now, one thing always signals the start of autumn for me- The Flooring Show. After months of preparation and anticipation, the Harrogate Convention Centre will once again open its doors to thousands of industry professionals from across the UK and abroad this September. Expanding on our show preview in the last issue, our Flooring Show Guide section offers a more detailed look at the event schedule to help you make the most of your visit.

Elsewhere in the issue, we have a focus on Wood Flooring and Kitchens, as well as all of the latest product launches and industry news. We also have some great standalone features covering a wide range of intriguing topics, from virtual reality to magnetic flooring.

Happy reading!
