Outlook Medium term prospects for the overall market appear to suggest steady if modest growth, underpinned by demand for commodity products – e.g. adhesives, sealants and protective chemicals - on RMI and refurbishment works. Demand for more specialist chemicals – e.g. concrete admixtures or resin flooring systems – is more dependent on recovery in the new build housing and construction sectors although increasing activity in infrastructure works, e.g. crossrail and HS2, ought to provide some opportunities for some types of construction chemicals.
