early childhood education

Attend weekend workshops and con- ferences. Taking certification levels in Dalcroze, Kodály, Music Learning The- ory or Orff-Schulwerk is also a wonderful way to expand your teaching as well as to meet and learn from other inquisitive, thoughtful, and dedicated teachers. At present, I have taken Level 1 courses in Music Learning Theory and Kodály, and my sights are now set on Orff-Schulwerk. Taking multiple certification courses can transform your teaching, and it is fascinat- ing to learn how to utilize these different approaches together.

Finally, there are so many resources on- line, it is easy to become overwhelmed. Below are some of my favorite resources and hopefully they will provide you with a jumping off point or lead you to some- thing entirely new. I hope this article will provide you with ideas on where to take some next steps toward feeling more com- fortable and confident teaching outside of your content area.
