WSMA is proud to partner with Between the Waves Music Festival and Conference – the Midwest’s only national conference focused exclusively on the independent musician. It’s the place to be for all facets of the music business, from creation to performance to distribution and alternative revenue streams. Work, meet and interact with Madison’s top musicians and national music industry executives. Scheduled presenters already include big hitters like Butch Vig (Smart Studios, Garbage), Mitch Goldfarb (producer, engineer and songwriter) and Bill Mayne (executive director at Country Radio Broadcasters)! The festival portion promises an exciting multi-night, multi- stage musical extravaganza, showcasing varied genres with featured performers and opportunities for attendees to get in on the act.

Student Participation

High school students interested in the possibility of a career in the business of music can register for $10. When students arrive they will receive a $10 food card for use at the conference.
