29 Ovens, Furnaces & Heating Equipment New HPLC column oven: Precision temperature control to 90°C
The EchoTherm™ HPLC Column Oven Model CO20 from Torrey Pines Scientific is designed to deliver precise temperature control for HPLC columns. With a temperature range from room temperature to 90°C, the CO20 offers exceptional accuracy, adjustable in 0.1°C increments. The oven is equipped with advanced PID control software that maintains temperatures within ±0.1°C, ensuring reliable and consistent results.
The CO20 holds columns up to 30 cm long and accommodates ¼” or 3/8” diameter columns, with space for guard columns and fittings. For larger diameter columns, the included column clips can be removed. The oven features easy-to-use controls, a digital display for both target and actual temperatures, an injection counter, and a 30-day timer with alarm and customisable Auto-Off settings. A stable temperature indicator light on the front panel signals when the target temperature is within ±0.2°C.
Operating on 12V DC power, the CO20 includes a universal power supply, 3-wire AC line cord, counter cable, and a 12-month warranty. It is ETL, CSA, and CE compliant, ensuring global compatibility and safety. An optional accessory stand is also available.

Standard and customised tube furnaces for research and industrial applications
Infrared heating stage for high-temperature research
Linkam Scientific Instruments, a market leader in temperature- and environment-controlled microscopy, has partnered with the University of Huddersfield to develop the IHS1700, a groundbreaking new infrared heating stage. The IHS1700 reflects a major advancement in thermomicroscopy, combining state-of-the- art infrared technology with precise temperature control for rapid heating.
The IHS1700 offers a temperature range from room temperature up to 1700°C and has an impressive maximum heating rate of 2000°C/min. This advanced heating stage has been rigorously tested by researchers at the University of Huddersfield in their work on metallurgy, mineralogy, and energetic materials analysis, with the results set to be highlighted during the TAC 2025 presentation.
Designed specifically for the study of inorganic materials, the IHS1700 is ideal for high-temperature research, providing excellent atmosphere control in a compact volume.
Dr Gage Ashton, Lecturer in Forensic and Analytical Science at the Thermal Methods Research Unit (TMRU), University of Huddersfield, remarked: “Thermomicroscopy is crucial for revealing complex thermal profiles, often complementing techniques like thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. While much of the existing literature focuses on organic systems, the ability to rapidly heat to high temperatures in controlled conditions opens up new possibilities for studying alloys, ceramics, and minerals.”
Elite Thermal offers a comprehensive portfolio of standard and custom-designed tube furnaces which are used in educational, research, and industrial organisations globally, offering precise and reliable thermal processing capabilities in both air and modified atmospheres.
The tube furnaces from Elite Thermal are intended for use at up to 1850°C. They come in a variety of tube diameters / lengths, single and multi-heated zones, split, horizontal/ vertical, rotating, vacuum options and many other configurations.
Key applications encompass heat treatment of metals and alloys, sintering of ceramics and metal powders, oxidation and reduction studies, as well as annealing, ashing, calcination, thermal analysis, and material characterisation.
Elite Thermal offers a diverse range of tube furnace variants to suit specific application needs. These include Single-Zone Tube Furnaces for uniform heating in a single controlled area, Multi-Zone Tube Furnaces which enable precise temperature gradients across multiple distinct zones, and Split Tube Furnaces featuring a hinged design for convenient tube access and rapid cooling. For processes requiring controlled environments, our Vacuum Tube Furnaces are ideal for heat treatments under vacuum or inert gas atmospheres, while the Universal Tube Furnace provides versatile operation for both horizontal and vertical applications.
Established in 1998, Elite Thermal’s core philosophy centres on ensuring customer satisfaction through the provision of high-quality products, competitive pricing, and superior customer service.
