Laboratory Products 55 A New Dropper for Every Hand
The new droppers in the PETTE series from IKA were announced at the last ACHEMA and are now available. A total of 18 models combine all the most popular features of the laboratory classic. Their large displays, durable construction and ergonomic handles make the PETTE fix and vario ideal for frequent pipetting.
IKA PETTE unites everything lab technicians can expect for reliable metering in a single instrument. All models are fully autoclavable and can be easily sterilised. This ensures accuracy, precision and safety when metering. The large mechanical volume display is also easy to read as you perform the metering. The lightweight droppers are particularly pleasant to hold thanks to three interchangeable ergonomic grips. The geometry of the receptacle is designed so that it is suitable for all commercially-available tips.
IKA PETTE fix and vario are also shock-resistant, UV and chemical resistant. Calibration and maintenance is user-friendly and can be done yourself or with the help of IKA Service. Laboratory staff are invited to order the droppers for testing from the IKA Application Center. More information online:

Expanded Program with Baths and Circulators
Huber Kältemaschinenbau has further expanded its range of classic heating and cooling thermostats. The program offers two product lines: While the CC models meet the highest standards, the KISS models stand for simple operation and affordable prices. The product range include immersion circulators, baths and circulation thermostats for temperatures from -90 to +300°C. The product line also includes the smallest cooling thermostats in the world, the Ministats.
CC models and Ministats are equipped with a Pilot ONE touchscreen controller, which offers a 5.7” TFT colour display as well as USB and LAN ports. Additional features include adjustable pumping capacity, sensor calibration, clock function, auto start, a Favourites menu and a convenient menu navigation in 13 languages. Another advantage is the electronic upgrade feature which enables the activation of additional functions such as programmer or process control. In contrast, the KISS models focus on basics. These devices are inexpensive and are recommended for many routine tasks. These devices have an OLED temperature display and protection functions according to Class III/FL (DIN 12876). Both model ranges are available with polycarbonate or stainless steel baths. The cooling thermostats operate environmentally friendly and use natural refrigerants.
