45 Years and Counting
Congratulations to all at International Labmate on the celebration of 45 years serving the Laboratory and analytical community. We here at MBH Analytical are of a similar age having made our very fi rst sale in 1973 before fi nally setting up as MBH Measurements in 1978. All such a long time ago!
For MBH Analytical, as we have been known since 1985, 2019 brings new change and the dawning of a new chapter in our journey for we have now joined the LGC family and will become part of the LGC Standards division alongside such brand as ARMI and VHG Labs. This new chapter will inevitably bring some changes along the way but will also bring some benefi ts for our many customers with the backing and support of all the resources within LGC Group.
Initially MBH will continue as before and customers will not see any major change. However over time the introduction of the new name will start to be seen on our correspondence and literature as we move closer to our new colleagues. One of the fi rst examples will be with the publication of our new 2019 Own Product catalogue where we will introduce the new logo into the now familiar MBH catalogue. As part of LGC Standards we can also add direct access to the ARMI reference materials range from here at MBH. We have been offering this respected brand for many years alongside the many other reference materials we can supply but now can provide these as part of our increased product range. Both the MBH and ARMI catalogues can now be found on the MBH website and our new 2019 MBH catalogue will be added very soon.

Axetris – 20 Years of Experience in Micro-technology
Axetris, a company of the Leister Group, located in the heart of Switzerland, is celebrating 20 years of experience in micro-optics and gas sensing solutions. In 1998, Axetris started out as a division of its parent company Leister, with the acquisition of a Swiss startup. The following year, the Leister Group invested in building a MEMS foundry for micro-optical components in Central Switzerland. Soon, Axetris became a successful supplier of micro-optical elements to world- leading manufacturers of optical components in the telecommunications industry.
Today, Axetris products are used by OEMs in cutting-edge products in industries ranging from telecommunication, medical, automotive, environmental, and analytical. The Axetris 200mm wafer MEMS foundry comprises of over 1,000 m2
of cleanroom manufacturing space, as well as,
a large opto-electronic sensor assembly and calibration facility. Axetris maintains
its own network of highly-competent sales and application experts across three continents and fi ve countries.
Axetris products have been celebrated for reaching considerable milestones in the last 20 years. The products have contributed to the industry in a variety of ways, for example: Axetris micro-lenses and lens arrays enable a large part of internet data traffi c worldwide through their use in optical switch architectures and hyper- scale data centres; Axetris infrared sources are on their way to Mercury as part of ESA’s BepiColombo Mission; Axetris mass fl ow controllers being used for cutting- edge environmental studies at the EMPA laboratory on the ‘Top of Europe’; Axetris TDLS-based laser gas detection modules helping improve environmental protection in China.
