9 Ellutia Celebrates 25 Years
Like International Labmate, Ellutia Chromatography Solutions are also celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. Originally Founded as Cambridge Scientifi c Instruments in 1994 by Phillip James, the company has grown to become one of the UK’s leading chromatography companies.
The company started out offering accessories for the chromatography market such as fl owmeters and vacuum degassers, with the goal of being able to offer a range of gas chromatographs and specialist detectors. In 1998 this became a reality when the company launched the fi rst version of its award winning 200 Series Gas Chromatograph. In 2010 the decision was taken to rebrand from Cambridge Scientifi c Instruments to aid global expansion and Ellutia was born. The company now has local branches in both Germany and the USA.
Alongside the standard product range, Ellutia has and continues to specialise in providing bespoke chromatography solutions for customers analytical problems. These have ranged from mobile GC for testing for fuel adulteration to tailor-made online production instruments for individually quality testing wine corks.
Thanks to the success generated by this innovation and fl exibility in 2017 Ellutia moved to a new purpose-built headquarters. The building features state of the art R&D, training and production facilities that will help Ellutia to continue its growth and innovation.
The future for Ellutia looks exciting with innovative new products due to be launched in 2019. The 500 Series GC is a unique new concept that offers the ability to perform conventional, fast and ultra-fast GC in a single instrument.

Scharlab celebrates its 70th anniversary
Scharlab is an independent company with professional management.
