51 Safety, Hazard Containment & Sterilising Equipment Latest Benchtop Autoclave Offers Greater Capacity

The Priorclave H60 compact, front loading benchtop autoclave enables laboratories with low volume sterilising requirements to enjoy the full benefits of a feature-packed range at an affordable price. It offers a level of settings and operating flexibility usually reserved for larger autoclaves making it ideally suited for a variety of sterilising applications such as media preparation, laboratory waste, liquids and diluents, glassware, instruments and apparatus.

Designed and manufactured at Priorclave’s UK manufacturing centre, this latest benchtop autoclave, model H60, with its impressive 60 litre sterilising chamber benchtop is a perfect fit for both general lab sterilising needs as well as those of research establishments. The large 350mm diameter sterilising chamber is accompanied by a working depth of 625mm, these dimensions opening up greater sterilising efficiencies for any laboratory.

The H60 autoclave incorporates the very latest TACTROL®3 microprocessor control system with staged illumination providing digital readout of cycle status as well as allowing easy setting of temperature and time. It also incorporates the very latest in thermal printers with significantly improved print clarity, there is an option to have data from the sterilising processing cycle print-out once the cycle ends and paper roll change is much easier.

Another recent up-grade is Wi-Fi connectivity available through BEE LIVE, a system developed by Priorclave. It provides immediate connectivity to a variety of Wi-Fi enabled devices such as Smart phones, tablets, iPads and laptops, enabling lab staff to remotely monitor sterilising parameters

The Priorclave H60 compact, front loading benchtop autoclave is easy install and requires simply plugging directly into a 230V supply to get it fully operational. There is a choice of either a single or double heating elements, giving cycle times of 90 or 75 minutes respectively and models can be supplied for either manual or auto-water fill. Priorclave are able to supply a choice of standard or vacuum options, the later ideal for those research laboratories carrying out low-volume sterilisation of items such as bagged mixed plastic waste, tubing and narrow bore glass ware.

Build of the H60 – 60l benchtop autoclave incorporates epoxy coated panels and frame members which are treated with an anti-bacterial agent highly effective against all bacteria and fungi including MRSA, preventing cross contamination within a laboratory environment.

High Performance Biological Safety Cabinets

The Purair® BIO biological safety cabinet (BSC) is certified for safety and performance in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 49 and EN12469 which certifies Class II, Type A2 laminar flow cabinets are suitable for working with biosafety agents at levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. Air Science 4-foot models are certified by NSF.

The Purair BIO is designed with a single EC blower motor for ease of use, reliability, and to promote low cost of ownership. Airflow adjustments are simpler, operational costs lower, and maintenance easier for BSCs equipped with single EC blower motors. The Purair BIO maintains one of the world’s highest performance ratings for a brushless DC motor.

The slim profile cabinet is one of the narrowest on the market. The compact width allows easy passage through standard doorways for easier installation and relocation.

The user interface combines ergonomics, safety, and aesthetics to reduce operator eye strain and fatigue. 48232pr@reply-direct.com

Healthier Air in the Lab

Exposure to unwanted chemical emissions are an unfortunate reality when working in a lab. Even if you can’t smell them, Erlab’s Halo laboratory-grade molecular air filtration system can.

Halo is working 24/7 to clean the air in the lab. Once vapours are detected, Halo will capture them in Erlab’s proprietary carbon filtration technology. After adsorbing the molecules that cause unwanted odours, clean air is returned back to the room through low- disruptive side vents.

Why Should I Use the VPHP Method?

H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) is an oxidising agent which, when it comes into contact with micro-organisms, oxidises their cells or spores, thus deactivating them. It is however, a surface decontaminant so may not penetrate dirt and detritus; heavily soiled surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned prior to decontamination. This system is operated at ambient room temperature and relative humidity, without the need to significantly reduce humidity, which was traditionally required for fumigation bio-decontamination.

There is now a large body of published scientific research demonstrating that hydrogen peroxide vapour technology is able to inactivate bacteria, viruses and fungi, as well as reduce healthcare associated infections (HAIs), giving you assurance of a 6-log spore reduction.

Not only is VPHP/ VHP proven to be an effective decontaminator, it is a more rapid and convenient means of fumigation, reducing your equipment downtime, and is significantly less hazardous to health than traditional fumigation methods. Equipment and rooms which are subject to regular health and safety testing and validation, or need regular servicing should be decontaminated appropriately prior to these activities.

Many customers perform the fumigation themselves before a service, however, BPS Crowthorne, by encapsulating the expertise of sister company Crowthorne Hi-Tec Services, can save your time with an equipment bio-decontamination service (EBDS) and perform the fumigation prior to service ensuring a full and successful service with minimal disruption and downtime. BPS Crowthorne can also fumigate and service

several cabinets at the same time. Not only does the EBDS service save you time, it also saves you the capital outlay of buying your own equipment. Want to know more about EBDS or any of our other services and products? Get in touch with BPS Crowthorne to discuss your requirements today.
