16 Water/Wastewater Intelligent Transmitters for pH/ORP and Conductivity
Sensorex’s (USA) TX2000 pH/mV Transmitter and CX2000Conductivity/Resistivity Transmitter monitor changes in process fluids for more accurate control in a wide range of water, chemical, electronics, food production, environmental and wastewater processing applications.
Both Transmitters include Multi-Cal calibration with automatic buffer recognition, two assignable isolated analogue (0/4-20mA) current outputs, two alarm/control relays with an additional wash feature, and a universal 100-240VAC power supply. CE certified, the compact NEMA 4X/IP65 enclosures can be wall mounted, installed in a panel or conveniently pipe/handrail mounted.
The TX2000 has a pH measurement range of -2.00 to 16.00pH and an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) measurement range of -1999mV to 1999mV. The
CX2000 has a conductivity measurement range of 0.000 uS/cm to 200.0 mS/cm and a resistivity measurement range of 0.00 to 20.00 MΩ • cm. Both are compatible with a number probes and sensors to fit most application requirements.
An optional RS model offers additional features including data display charts and trend graphics, a real-time clock with logbook function, and customer defined five-point calibration with displayed calibration curve. The RS models are also equipped with one analogue output and serial RS-485 interface for MODBUS RTU or ASCII communications, easily interfacing to existing plant SCADA or DCS control systems.
Both units have a large backlit display with easy-to-navigate text and graphic illustrations. A password protection option prevents unauthorised tampering. With a temperature span of -30 °C to 130 ° C Sensorex transmitters ensure accuracy in even the most challenging process environments.

25797pr@reply-direct.com Signature Flow Meter
The Signature flow meter is designed for open channel flow monitoring applications. It supports flow measurement technologies including ultrasonic, bubbler, submerged ultrasonic area velocity, and non-contacting laser Doppler area velocity. The meter can calculate flow using standard open channel level-to-flow conversions, as well as user defined equations or level to flow data points, depending on the application need.
With multiple smart interface options and multi-parameter logging (such as pH), the Signature flow meter provides a common platform for control action, reporting, and communication.
Standard features include: Multiple parameter data logging; Program and Summary Reports; Data Integrity Verification; Compatibility with Flowlink software; Multiple simultaneous flow technologies; pH and temperature input; SDI-12 input; RS-485 Modbus input; RS-485 Modbus output.
Applications include: Industrial Pretreatment Compliance; Permit Enforcement; Wastewater Treatment Plants; Outfall.
The Signature flow meter is just one of Teledyne Isco’s (USA) many products that are available for your application.

Online Turbidity Measurement in Potable Water – Non-Contact and Low Maintenance The measurement of turbidity is based on the Nephelometric method and is enforced according to the “Standard Methods of Examination of Water and Wastewater” / ISO 7027.
As in all optical monitoring procedures, fouling of the optical windows has a considerable influence on accuracy and maintenance.
Self Cleaning water quality monitors
THAT ACTUALLY WORK IN WASTE WATER
The monitor AMI Turbiwell from Swan Analytical (Switzerland) is a non-contact turbidimeter with a minimal operating service.
The measuring cell is designed so that the section above contains the heated optical system, and the section below, the non-pressurised measuring chamber, is fitted with a manual or automatic blowdown valve. Because of this, it is possible to easily remove particles of dirt without any disturbance in the process. Air bubbles in the sample water are removed automatically by an overflow system. The optimum sample flow of the measuring instrument is 20 L/h.
The choice of light source is decisive. Instead of a conventional lamp with a limited life expectancy, the AMI Turbiwell has an LED with a life expectancy of approx. 100’000 operating hours and therefore maintains its stability. This makes frequent lamp replacement with complicated calibrations unnecessary.
In order to fulfil the QA standards or national regulations, a quick and simple verification can be carried out with the AMI Turbiwell using secondary standards. For the accuracy and validation of the measurement in operation, the sample current is monitored online with a flow meter control.
Due to its measurement principle, the AMI Turbiwell can be applied to all types of water: for spring water, ground water, tap water and also waste water.

21677pr@reply-direct.com Cost Effective UV Spectroscopic Analysis of Water
The UV300, from Tethys Instruments (France) is a cost effective water analyser for applications focused on one or two parameters. Mainly based on uv spectroscopy, well known for its stability and low operating cost, the UV300 can measure parameters like organic matter, nitrate, colour, aromatics hydrocarbons (pah). Complementary modules allows the measurement of po4 by colorimetric method and turbidity by a visible or infra-red laser diode. External probes can be added for physicochemical parameters like pH, orp, dissolved oxygen and conductivity.
Thanks to its automatic cleaning system and its extremely long life time lamp, the maintenance is roughly limited to the periodic refill of the inexpensive cleaning solution.
A new web-based interface allows the control and the troubleshooting at distance using an internet browser on a computer, tablet or i-phone.
