Water/Wastewater New Additions to the inoLab Series
WTW(USA), a Xylem brand, introduced the two newest members to the inoLab meter family for electrochemistry measurements: Multi 9420 and Multi 9430 at IFAT ENTSORGA 2012. These digital IDS meters are ideal for all laboratory applications including water, wastewater, environmental and water quality applications.
The inoLab Multi 9420 and Multi 9430 feature two and three universal sensor ports respectively, along with a large colour graphic display and offer the latest advancement in “Plug and Measure” technology. The universal ports allow connection to the innovative, intelligent IDS sensors for measurement of pH, oxidation reduction potential (ORP), dissolved oxygen (DO) or conductivity. Each sensor contains model description, serial number, calibration history and unique sensor specific data including cell constants. Like other models in the inoLab meter series, these new multiparameter meters provide a range of unique advantages for users. The calibration process QSC (Quality Sensor Control) allows monitoring of the IDS pH electrode condition over its life span, while password protected user administration provides perfect traceability of all values. The instruments’ menu-controlled user interface allows easy, error-free operation and data can be transmitted for documentation via the USB interface or external printer.
The new inoLab models are perfect meters for use in laboratories where complete documentation is required such as quality assurance. The instruments offer the ability to automatically record pH, conductivity or dissolved oxygen data with the internal data logger in intervals as short as one second. Values can be stored or sent via the USB interface to a PC, while measurement data can be transferred in .CSV format for easy processing using spreadsheet programs. The new continuous measurement control (CMC) for pH allows the visual control in the correspondence between calibrated range and current measurement while the menu-driven user interface and the bright graphic display ensures ease of operation.
The WTW inoLab benchtop meter series supports error-free measurements and documentation by working with intelligent digital IDS sensors. Special firmware packages convert standard multiparameter instruments into meters for special tasks like ISE or other parameters. The former functionality can easily be restored at any time, while a special plug-in module offers unmatched versatility by allowing the connection of any conventional pH, ORP or ISE electrodes which enable the use of a broad selection of special electrodes. The inolab Multi 9420 and 9430 IDS meters together with IDS sensors are a perfect tool where documentation is required in water, wastewater, environmental and water quality applications.

New Compact Turbimeter Launched at ACHEMA
Leading water analysis specialist Palintest (UK) will be launching the new Compact Turbimeter at the ACHEMA 2012 exhibition in Frankfurt. The company will be showcasing the product at stand D47 in the UK Pavilion, (Hall 4.2).
The Compact Turbimeter provides accurate and intuitive portable testing for Turbidity with a wide range, suitable from high purity water through to wastewater. The instrument extends the company’s existing Compact Meter range, offering high-end analysis specifically designed for the wastewater and drinking water environment.
The Compact Turbimeter uses the nephelometric method of analysis and is compliant with ISO 7027 with compensation monitoring for high levels of turbidity. The instrument uses a simple calibration procedure with a data log included to record results and calibration data for GLP. The product is supplied in a robust carry case containing all accessories and standards for analysis in the field.
Other recent innovations featured on the stand will include the Macro 900 WQS, ChlordioX Plus and 9100 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. Highlights from the existing Palintest range of drinking water, wastewater and industrial water analysis products will also be available
