CEMS Oxygen Analysis MCERTS Certified
The SERVOFLEX MiniMP (5200 Multipurpose) gas analyser from Servomex has been awarded MCERTS certification, making it suitable for source testers that require reference
oxygen (O2) analysis as part of the verification of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
The only truly portable battery powered gas analyser with MCERTS certification, the MiniMP is a portable analyser
designed to offer single or dual measurement of O2 and carbon dioxide (CO2). Offering accurate, stable and reliable measurement of O2 using Servomex’s non-depleting paramagnetic sensor technology, MiniMP delivers measurement accuracy ranges of between ±0.1% to
±0.02% O2. The approval of EN15267-3 (MCERTS V3.3, Annex F) makes the MiniMP suitable for use as an SRM (Source Reference Method) according to EN14789 for verifying installed CEMS to the requirements of EN 14181.
Offering the benefits of larger and more expensive equipment in a compact, easy to use package, the MiniMP offers users an extensive range of features including audible alarms, datalogging and RS232 outputs.
CO2 is measured using digital infra red technology, a non- depleting technology that eliminates the requirement for
regular replacement of sensors. A tower form reduces valuable footprint, while the MiniMP can be powered by lithium ion cells for users who need reliability on the move. A high definition LCD display shows the measured component level in a large, easy-to-read display, alongside indications of analyser status, alarms and output range. Additional options include single or dual gas measurements, 4- 20mA outputs and an internal pump.

The Importance of Personal Development in the Field of Environmental Monitoring and MCERTS
In the current economic climate, expenditure by organisations on training has suffered a downturn. It is viewed by many that training is non-essential, and the focus is on maintaining profit margins.
However, continual improvement of staff understanding and knowledge within the areas they work should increase productivity and motivation. Plant owners also have a responsibility to ensure their staff is kept up-to-date with latest technical guidance and requirements.
With the growing acceptance of the MCERTS schemes in the UK, Europe and further afield, it is now more important than ever that manufacturers, process operators and stack-emission monitoring personnel are kept fully abreast of changes to legislation and policy.
CSA-Sira, the MCERTS Certification provider, offers a range of training courses covering the various regulatory requirements for environmental monitoring, including:
iii
All courses are delivered by practicing experts and engineers and are conducted at Sira training locations or at your own site.
Sira also delivers the MCERTS Personnel Competence Scheme, the scheme that enables stack-emission monitoring personnel to be certified as competent in their emission-monitoring tasks. More Information
