Spotlight on Gulf Coast Conference - Analytical Instrumentation AD Systems Doubles the Size of its R & D Team

Since its inception in 2008, AD Systems has developed unique and innovative instruments. AD Systems has successfully introduced the following instruments; DT100DL: Dispersancy Tester dedicated to in-service lubricants - ASTM D7899. AutoREID: Automated REID Vapor Pressure, ASTM D323 Method B, specifically for crude oils. DR10: Thermal Oxidation Deposit Rater for Jet Fuel, ASTM D3241. Currently, the DR10 is the worldwide leader in the market with over 100 units sold. SP10: Automated Smoke Point measurement system for Jet Fuel in accordance with ASTM D1322. The SP10 has been declared the referee method because of its superior resolution compared to the human eye. CT10: the first automated instrument dedicated to the measurement of percentage of corrosion according to NACE TM 0172, ASTM D665 and D7548. ST10: the first automated, portable and on-board instrument to measure the heavy fuel and residual fuel compatibility according to ASTM D4730.

Listening to the urgent request of our clients and distributors, AD Systems decided to strengthen its development team. Over the past 14 months, AD Systems has recruited five technicians and engineers: François as software development engineer, Jean as mechatronics engineer, Hervé as product engineer in charge of defining new products, Florentin as CAD technician specialised in designing new products and Brice as CAD technician dedicated to product industrialisation. With this significant effort, AD Systems will soon be able to bring to market additional innovative instruments suited to the needs of petroleum laboratories.

NEW Jetanizer™ for Drastically Simpler Analysis of CO and CO2 ARC (Activated Research Company) introduces the NEW Jetanizer™ for drastically simpler analysis of CO and CO2

. Made possible by advances in 3D printing and ARC’s to methane for ppb-to-100% concentration detection. The Jetanizer™ will be on show

4D, its latest generation of innovative

and reliable high resolution GC- and GCxGC-TOFMS instrumentation. A number of new features have been incorporated with the HRT’s powerful high resolution technology for expanded analytical capabilities and improved confidence in the analysis of the most complex samples. New software features automatically identify sulphur, nitrogen, and oxygen containing species allowing you to understand the quality of a product or an input to your process. Updated, modernised hardware meets or exceeds all global compliancy regulations, while Encoded Frequent Pushing™ (EFP™) provides increases in both sensitivity and dynamic range by factors of ten. EFP works in conjunction with the proven Folded Flight Path®

mass analyser,

significantly increasing performance easily storing multiple spectra inside the FFP at once. For More Info, email:

LECO’s Pegasus BT Easily Satisfies ASTM D5769

LECO’s Pegasus BT provides users with solutions for a wide range of applications, including gasoline and petroleum analyses; for example ASTM D5769 method requirements are fully satisfied. Three fundamental criteria are met for ASTM D5769: sensitivity % for 1,4-diethylbenzene, achieving specified ion abundance ratios, and calibration linearity for all analytes. The Pegasus® BT easily satisfies these method requirements and brings a number of other benefits to your petroleum analysis including sample archival for future data mining, qualitative and quantitative workflows, and a StayClean™ ion source, which virtually eliminates the need for source cleaning.
