Take the Stress Out of Gas Generation

Leman Instruments is a leading European gas generator manufacturer. They offer a range of standard products, manufacturing capabilities for OEM’s and custom designed units for High Purity H2

, N2 CO2 Zero Air generation. In

addition they create solutions for FIDs, GCs, purge air generators, CH4

and scrubbers, N2 and multigas for

LCMS, provided with a high level of communications involving Ethernet, USB, RS 485 and possibility of AK protocol integration.

One of Leman Instruments’ newest innovations is its combined technology gas generator, the GC STATION 60LC.

This unit incorporates an inboard compressor and features a concept unlike any other currently offered in the market place. This advancement is unique to Leman’s brand and has been well appreciated by their customers for being incredibly practical. Combining high purity hydrogen, zero air and nitrogen generators, this product acts as a fully automated solution.

Further developments include new communication protocols which Leman have established for the benefi t of their customers in all of their products, who urgently need to be provided with the necessary information quickly and effi ciently. The new technology and protocols can be easily integrated with systems all over the globe.

Another notable product range from Leman Instruments is the HYDRO 50L 50 ml/min to 15 l/min High Purity Hydrogen Generators for FID and CARRIER GAS which fi t almost any type of application, needing high purity H2

production,

close to the operator in a laboratory environment. Based on the fi eld proven Solid Polymer Electrolyte (PEM) cell technology, pure hydrogen is produced at low pressure from electricity and high quality distilled water (ZeroWater). This process can be initiated on demand and does not require any caustic solution. The produced Hydrogen is available 24/7 with a constant minimum purity superior to 99.995 % and maximum at 99.99995 % at output fl ows of 50 ml/min to 15 l/min (depending on the model).

The H2 output pressure is regulated electronically and can be set from 0.5 to

10 bar. (7 to 140 psig). Each instrument is equipped with high performance communication interfaces (RS485, Ethernet, WLAN) to create a very fl exible gas network with local or central control. Due to the software being focused on safety, automatic regulation and reliable communications, Leman’s products are easy to install, reliable, safe and a joy to operate.

44185pr@reply-direct.com New Gas Chromatography Instruments Launched

PerkinElmer, Inc., launch of its Clarus 590 and 690 Gas Chromatography (GC) instruments. These solutions are designed for commercial, government, product quality and academic research professionals running high-sensitivity GC analyses on a wide range of environmental and petrochemical samples for compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

An expansion of PerkinElmer’s reliable, high-performance Clarus GC platform, the new Clarus 590 and 690 systems offer increased performance, more fl exibility and higher throughput, and optimized injection. The system also features a comprehensive portfolio of sampling accessories, including industry leading TurboMatrix™ headspace and thermal desorption options, along with the new TurboMatrix MultipPrep Autosampler that enables liquid injection, headspace and solid-phase micro-extraction (SPME).

PerkinElmer’s Clarus 590 and 690 instruments enable researchers to test across an extensive set of sample types:

Food: detection of pesticides and other harmful contaminants to help ensure compliance with global food safety regulations. Food processors can characterise fl avor and fragrance profi les of fi nished goods to meet consumer demands.

Environmental: testing of air, water, and soil for meeting regulations. For air monitoring, coupling the new Clarus system with PerkinElmer’s TurboMatrix ATD technology provides a solution for detecting air toxins, ozone precursors, and soil or vapor intrusions.

Petrochemical: Arnel-based solutions including simulated distillation (SimDis) and refi nery gas analysis. SimDis is a gas chromatographic technique used to simulate the results of an oil distillation tower, separating crudes or other multicomponent blends into component fractions by boiling points. ASTM®

each method. PerkinElmer has enhanced four popular ASTM®

methods with SimDis applications have been widely used to obtain reliable and repeatable analysis given the specifi c parameters of methods (D2887, D6352, D7169, and D7500) with SimDis technique.

“Continued regulatory expansion across industries, coupled with increasingly complex samples, drives the need for advanced GC technologies,” said Jim Corbett, Executive Vice President and President, Discovery & Analytical Solutions, PerkinElmer. “Our new offering can accommodate a wide range of sample types and deliver the stringent sensitivity and characterisation lab professionals need for effective analyses.”

New Gas Chromatography System for Multiplexed GC Analyses

For More Info, email: email:

APIX Analytics develops and manufactures GC systems with a unique technology: a nanoelectromechanical (NEMS) resonator, the result of 8 years of collaboration between CEA/CALTECH resulting in 15 patents with exclusive licensing agreement.

The NEMS detector i 10x to 100x limits of detection improvement vs TCD for heavier hydrocarbons, leading to FID-like performance in a much smaller form factor and with no Flame and no need for H2 make-up gas.

The system intelligence is fully integrated within a small footprint plug & play module embedding the whole analytical chain of a conventional Gas Chromatography system (silicon injection, GC capillary column of separation, NEMS & µTCD detection).

APIX innovation is to integrate in only one system both detector NEMS and TCD for higher analyses, allowing ppm to sub-ppm level of detections from C1 to C10.

APIX is notably developing the Chrompix: a new Gas Chromatography system for Multiplexed GC Analyses that is mounted in a standard 19’’ rack with up to 4 plug & play analytical modules for simultaneous analyses of a single sample.
