Show Preview - PEFTEC 2017 New Internet Gas Monitor Launched at PEFTEC

Turnkey Instruments Ltd. is a unique company, offering the only ISO9001 accredited industrial and scientifi c instrumentation that is both designed and manufactured in the UK. To add to our unique range of products, Turnkey are proud to announce that we will be launching the brand new iGAS at this year’s PEFTEC 2017 exhibition.

The iGAS instrument is a breakthrough product in the market as it truly represents fantastic value for money whilst offering an extensive range of features that make using the iGAS instrument very easy. Furthermore, this product is available in all continents of the world.

The iGAS is fl exible and compact, easy to deploy and maintain and has low cost ownership. It can measure and record up to 8 gas species simultaneously and has automatic zeroing by internal zero gas generation, virtually eliminating drift. The iGAS also records atmospheric pressure, temperature and relative humidity.

This instrument has RS485, Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as complimentary Android and iPhone apps. For your convenience, any data produced is accessible online, from your smart phone, tablet or desktop. Furthermore, the iGAS can be battery, mains or solar powered. Visit Turnkey Instruments at PEFTEC on stands 108 and 117

FLIR Systems will showcase the FLIR GFx320, an optical gas imaging (OGI) camera for the oil and gas industry that is designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, at PEFTEC 2017. The FLIR GFx320 detects and visualises invisible hydrocarbon gas emissions, such as methane, and common volatile organic compounds (VOCs) found at oil and natural gas facilities. It carries certifi cations to global standards and is recognised as Intrinsically Safe, explosion-protected equipment by the International Electrotechnical Commission.

As a certifi ed Intrinsically Safe OGI camera, the FLIR GFx320 represents ground-breaking technology for surveying critical and potentially dangerous work zones. For a demonstration of the FLIR GFx320 you can visit FLIR at stand 147 at PEFTEC or visit www.fl ir.com/gfx320 for more information.

Control of viscosity is important in these applications as precise, real-time viscosity measurements are critical to assuring product consistency and quality. In today’s competitive environment, well placed viscosity measurement lets you optimise your refi nery processes for increased effi ciency and lower costs.

The petroleum industry generates large volumes of waste water or effl uents that must be treated before it can be reused or released into natural waterways. Wastewater pollution can affect drinking water and ground water supplies, thereby endangering human health, affecting crop production and aquatic life as well as the natural environment.

Toxic heavy metals like Cadmium, Chromium, Lead and Mercury are typically monitored in process waters, effl uents and waste water of petrochemical plants by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, ICP-OES or ICP-MS. Moreover, the total organic carbon content (TOC) is routinely determined as organic acids for example contribute to the mobilization of heavy metals into lower soil layers and ground water via complexation. However, for all these techniques high concentrations of total dissolved solids (TDS) often hamper the direct analysis of waste water samples.

At PEFTEC (www.peftec.com) in Antwerp, on November 29 – 30, 2017 Analytik Jena reports analytical approaches for the analysis of toxic trace metals and TOC that reduce sample handling and carry-over effects. During the conferences, poster presentation and at booth #99 Analytik Jena presents its most recent developments for high performance solutions in oil and petrochemical business.

Galvanic Applied Sciences Inc. introduces their new Viscometer. Based on its very successful Nametre Model 600 and 1810 transmitter, the ViscoSite introduces Modbus communication and is now ATEX / IECEx rated for Class 1 Div 2 applications. The ViscoSite can measure viscosities from 0.1 to 106 cP and therefore can be used in many applications from coating manufacture, to polymer processing, to asphalt blending, to fuel blending in refi neries.
