The MINISCAN IR Vision builds on Grabner’s more than 20 years of innovation and experience in FTIR fuel analysis. The analyser, which is confi gured to measure more than 100 different fuel components, gasoline, and jet and diesel fuel parameters, was developed specifi cally for fuel blending, quality inspection, specifi cation compliance at the point of sale. The instrument is pre-loaded at the factory with a database of several thousand fuels collected worldwide and measured in accordance with ASTM and EN fuel specifi cations.

Combustion Analyser for Sulphur and Nitrogen
Elementar’s trace SN cube is the world’s most sensitive combustion analyser for sulphur (6 ppb) and nitrogen (<15 ppb) in diesel, gasoline and related samples. The catalyst-supported digestion technology ensures complete digestion of all kinds of samples without soot formation or insuffi cient recovery. Thus, the analysis time is just 3-5 minutes, depending on sample type. The sample is always injected directly into the combustion tube. The trace SN cube works as two analysers in one box. The sample is injected twice in different combustion tubes, which allows the specifi c optimisation of the oxidation process for each element. For over 30 years P S Analytical (PSA) has been at the forefront of trace mercury (Hg) determinations from petrochemical samples. It has never been more important to understand the fate of Hg in all aspects of oil and gas exploration, refi ning and production. The corrosive nature of Hg reacting with aluminium; the fate of Hg within a process itself; the concentration of Hg in feedstock’s that could destroy expensive catalysts; as well as the OH&S concerns that Hg poses are, of course, well documented and are often a key driver in operational decisions. For these reasons much effort is spent on Hg removal technology and PSA partners with many companies to monitor and help manage this Hg removal process. This partnership happens from the research bench through to production with PSA taking a pivotal role in ensuring successful removal technologies are deployed in the real world.
