44 New Specifi c Variants of Laboratory Press Systems now available


The Maassen GmbH manual driven laboratory presses can now be equipped with a digital display including the option for digital readout. And the maximum pressure can be electronically limited to your own needed value, adjustable to the maximum pressure your die set can handle. So, there is no need to take extreme care not to let the pressure getting too high any more. This avoids damage to expensive die sets and helps getting equal pellets with every press process even when operators change. The digital readout with serial connector can be used to monitor the applied pressure to every sample.


For clean bench use with hazardous substances or even explosive samples remote controlled presses are available. A remote controlled manual press consists of a hydraulic pumping module and a separate press stand part, connected with hydraulic tubes. A remote controlled motor driven press can also be obtained with external Start/Stop feature.


All presses and displays are calibrated and checked for correct performance. For GLP purposes a specifi c calibration certifi cate can be produced.


In combination with their easy-to-use pellet die sets, Maassen GmbH laboratory presses are the perfect tool for XRF and FT-IR sample preparation and much more.


For small and extremely hard materials there are pellets of tungsten carbide hard metal available if required. 28891pr@reply-direct.com


New Compact Vacuum Controller for Existing Vacuum Pumps


The new CVC 3000 detect is a compact two-point vacuum controller for connection to existing vacuum pumps or vacuum networks. With its integrated chemistry vacuum valve, it forms a compact, easy to install and ready to use vacuum control package.


The advanced electronic vacuum control signifi cantly increases the effi ciency of the laboratory process, such as for solvent recovery on a rotary evaporator, as well as protecting the environment. The control function ‘detect’ automatically fi nds the boiling pressure of a solvent, thereby minimising the need for user intervention. There is no need for a laborious manual search of the boiling point, even when working with complex solvent mixtures. Excessive foaming and the resulting loss of sample material can be prevented. The user saves time and can concentrate on more important tasks. A built in program function also enables the setting of individual pressure-time profi les, so that more complex applications can be carried out automatically and with accurate reproducibility. The CVC 3000 detect from Vacuubrand is available as a desktop version, as well as for scaffold mounting.
