Retsch’s line of sieve shakers is the most comprehensive offering with regards to sieving motions, measuring ranges and sieve diameters, thus covering virtually any bulk material – from agglomerating powders to solid rocks. Lately, two new models have been added to the range:


The new Air Jet Sieve AS 200 jet is particularly suitable for sieve cuts of powdered materials which require efficient dispersion and desagglomeration. The option to store up to 10 SOP and the automatic vacuum regulator (accessory) guarantee reproducible and meaningful results. Innovative features such as the Open Mesh function, the selection of the nozzle speed as well as optional use of standard 2” high test sieves perfects the new air jet technology.


With the sieve shaker AS 450 control Retsch have designed their first siever for 400mm and 450mm sieves which operates with a three-dimensional sieving motion. It can be used for dry and wet sieving. The optimised electromagnetic drive with Retsch’s CET Technology allows for amplitudes up to 2.2mm even with maximum loads up to 25 kg. This makes the AS 450 superior to all other known sieve shakers based on conventional electromagnetic or imbalance drives.

Centurion Scientific welcome the micro centrifuge with small footprint that can take up to 8 x 15ml samples to their Pro-Analytical range.

Enhanced General Purpose Centrifuge Product Line Increases Capacity and Flexibility


The Thermo Scientific general purpose centrifuges feature increased capacity and flexibility with rotor innovations including the new Thermo Scientific TX-1000 rotor, which is the only rotor on the market that employs a 4-litre capacity in a traditional 3-litre footprint. Additionally, the new Thermo Scientific MicroClick 30 x 2 rotor offers a 30-place capacity for microtube and nucleic acid spin columns, and is ideal for molecular biology applications. These high- capacity rotors are designed to process more tubes in fewer runs, saving time while reducing energy and wear on the centrifuge.

Sieves Shakers Designed for Fast Reproducible Results


What to look for in a shaker: 3D’ performance - Endecotts sieve shakers input a 3D movement to the sieves and sample, simulating hand sieving. This action ensures the sample passes over the full surface of the sieving medium passing over the maximum number of apertures to give rapid accurate results. Other useful features that can increase performance shorten sieving time or simply make life easy are, amplitude vibration control, continuous or intermittent vibration control, timer, correct and consistent clamping pressure, anti-vibration feet and a difficult one - low noise level.


The Shaker action helps avoid blocked apertures - the rapid vertical movement imparted by the shaker continuously helping to clear apertures and avoid them blinding.


Extensive Control - A number of Endecotts shakers are fitted with a high degree of control over the shaker functions - this feature is extremely useful with many materials in establishing a rapid end point.


Unique Clamping - Endecotts shakers are fitted with a unique clamping device enabling the clamp plate to be fitted in seconds. It also ensures the clamp plate secures the sieves with consistent pressure to provide consistent results and longer sieve life.
