It’s Magic – schuett solaris Sterilisation with Light! Instant…Innovative…No gas…Amazing!
The schuett solaris – State-of-the-Art technology for sterilisation without a flame.
For sterilising inoculating loops, tweezers or small instruments within seconds. The perfect solution where an open flame is to be avoided, gas cartridges or a central gas supply is not available. The schuett solaris is used with standard electrical power. The device reaches the safe working temperature of 900 – 1.300°C within the split of a second.
Easiest handling and efficient working is guaranteed by using the comfortable IR sensor and integrated timer. The steriliser detects the approaching inoculating loop by means of a contact-free sensor and automatically starts the reproducible
sterilisation cycle for 5 or 7 seconds. A quartz tube serves as the sterilisation chamber that keeps pathogenic material from spreading and can easily be removed for cleaning. The schuett solaris is robust and sturdy, therefore well qualified for field-use.
Benefit from sustainability: the schuett solaris is always ready for operation, no waste of time energy during preheating, no energy consumption between the work cycles.
There is no gas? … Electrical power is always available!

schuett colonyQuant – Automated Colony Counter. Accuracy and Documentation when Counting Colonies …
The schuett colonyQuant automated colony counter has been designed for daily needs in modern microbiological labs. The user-friendly software with Windows interface acquires images and counts the colonies according to their colour, shape and size within seconds at the push of a button. Rapid change of methods - from counting Petri dishes with various agar types to evaluation of colonies growing on filter disks, Spiral Plating and Inhibition Zone analysis. Mixed cultures may be evaluated separately with up to 8 colours simultaneously. Analyses poured agar plates that vary in thickness or have an uneven surface. Grid lines on filter disks or dark colonies on media are no problem.
The new version of automated colony counter series, the schuett colonyQuant HD, has been specially designed for Quality Control in water industries. It provides a camera with high definition (HD) resolution for analysing very small colonies of min. 0.05mm diameter. The traditional system with VGA-camera will analyse colonies from 0.1mm diameter. LED-technology puts the samples in high-contrast and colour fidelity lighting. Both systems are equipped with a colour video camera (autozoom and autofocus) showing a live colour picture of the sample as well as with UV-light source, for e.g. Pseudomonas aeruginosa (fluorescent).
Use the full functionality: The original and the evaluated image will be stored and may be reported digitally with all relevant data of the analysis for printing, re-opening or re-evaluation. All sample relevant settings, incl. camera zoom function, are stored in the user profile. GLP-conform, IQ/OQ on request.
