SUPPORT TASK:
Experiment with a different format. Choose part of your dialogue and present it in a series of frames or pictures using speech bubbles.
1 Drafting: Write your dialogue in rough. 2 Remember what you learnt about sentences earlier in this chapter. Read the section on simple, compound and complex sentences again. Use a variety of sentence types but think about when you should use these different sentences.
3 Use the dialogue format provided on page 44. 4 Work with a partner and read your dialogue aloud. This will help you to identify any problems with it.
5 Editing: Edit your work using the editing checklist in the Toolbox on page 254.
6 Presenting: Write your dialogue out neatly. Perform your dialogue
7 After writing: In groups, share your dialogue. Do a peer assessment by providing feedback on how you enjoyed the dialogue. Choose the best one from the group to share with the class.
