Gogo and Lindi enter. They walk slowly across the stage to their house. They sit down and drop their bags. Gogo: (Very tired) That was a long journey, Lindi. Your Gogo is getting too old for this. Lindi: (Looks down and shakes her head) I cannot believe that nobody wanted to buy our beadwork, Gogo. Look! We only sold one. Gogo: The beachfront is busy these days with lots of people selling. There are too many beaded souvenirs. They are all the same. Lindi: (Looks out of the window. Suddenly she gets an idea) Gogo! Will you help me? I want to make a dove! Gogo: Yes, my child. I will help you. Look through the old tin trunk and you will find … Lindi: (Excitedly) Wire! Pins! Cotton! And beads! Let us get to work! (Sits down at the table and begins to cut the material.) Gogo: (Sits down at the table and threads a needle) What has one eye and can change the length of its tail? Lindi: (Laughs) I know! It’s a needle! (They laugh together.)
