Hello and welcome

to the April issue of Venue Insight Magazine, the MUST HAVE publication for the UK hospitality industry.

Who could have known that a year ago we’d be where we are right now? Well, here we are and the mood of the nation seems to have swayed towards one of positivity. It’s amazing what a bit of warm weather and hope can do. The clocks have gone forward and the UK is waking up from its winter hibernation. Venues with suitable outdoor space can serve food and beverages outside from 12th April which is music to so many operators’ ears. Fingers crossed that everything can stay on track for indoor hospitality on 17th May.

We hear from Amber Staynings, CEO and Founder of Bums on Seats, the hospitality sales and strategic business development experts. Amber shares some crucial insight on how venues can bounce back and really kick on into the spring and summer.

There is a new way to travel the UK this summer - currently untapped by many, yet its venues form the backbone of our

British culture and hold the key to unlocking a secret Britain. ‘Stay in a Pub’ is a new booking platform that hosts more than 1,700 gems across the UK – a curated collection of boutique and unique rooms, classic inns and affordable accommodation, allowing you to travel this year, but with a twist on the traditional staycation.

Now is the time to invest in technology to boost your venue. David Pearce, Technical Director at Star Micronics EMEA talks about the printing technology available for order and pay apps and web-based ordering systems for the return of hospitality.

As we start to prepare for the summer of freedom we all long for, bar-tenders need to prepare for a busy time ahead with some delicious, stylish, and yet simple serves to welcome customers back to their favourite hospitality haunts. Enter the Brockmans Gin ‘Spring Negroni’.

Here’s to a great April,
